Nigeria makes it 50th in FIFA World rankings

The Super Eagles following their impressive form has risen 10 places above in the current FIFA World rankings.

Nigerian who defeated Algeria in their last World Cup qualification match were on the 60th position in the last FIFA rankings. Following the world governing body's release of the new rankings in World football, Nigeria have moved from 60th to 50th. The super Eagles are however, joint 50th position with
Burkina Faso who also moved  17 places above.

Senegal remains 1st in Africa and ranks 33rd in FIFA World rankings while Nigeria's next world cup qualification match opponents Cameroon are ranked 65th dropping six places from 59th. Algeria also on the other hand dropped from 35th to 38th. Zambia also moved from 94th to 91st respectively.
