The FA has charged Jose Mourinho for misconduct  following his comments about referee Anthony Taylor prior to the goalless draw at Liverpool.

Although the referee's appointment for the match was claimed by the former head of the PGMOL (Professional Game Match Official Limited) Keith Hackett as one that will put the official under great pressure. However prior to the fixture that ended goalless, The Portuguese manager said:

“I think Mr Taylor is a very good referee but I
think somebody with intention is putting such
a pressure on him that I feel that it will be
difficult for him to have a very good

I understood and I learnt a lesson by

Algerians will strike hard - Ike Shorunmu warns super eagles

Former Nigerian goalkeeper Ike Shorunmu, has charged the super eagles to maintain their standard ahead of their match against Algeria at the Uyo stadium. The the former goal keeper trainer warned The Foxes will come to strike hard but dismissed fear by saying  the super eagles have all it takes to maintain their pride against the north Africans.

He also said the super eagles should use their advantage they have with regards to the home game and urged Nigerians to give their total support to the players.

“The Super Eagles have all it
takes to beat Algeria. Winning in
Zambia and topping the group is
enough to scare the North Africans.
“So the Eagles should use the
advantage they have now to maintain
their leadership of the group. We have
enough stars in the senior national
team that can deliver the World Cup
ticket. All they need is total support
from Nigerians,’’ he said.

No rivalry between Messi and me - Cristiano Ronaldo

With the ongoing debate about bitterness between Cristiano Ronaldo and and Barcelona star Lionel Messi, Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has opened up about his relationship with Barcelona ace Lionel Messi. The footy star made it known that he is not close to Argentine ace and has stated further that no
rivalry exists between them as people might think considering their status in football rather great mutual respect lies between even though they are not good friends.

"There is a big mutual respect between
myself and Messi," the 31-year-old told
Coach Magazine. "The media like to make
out like we have this big rivalry, but we
don't.
"It is not like we are good friends, but there
is a mutual respect on both sides." He said.

See why Liverpool can win the league this season

Liverpool, the oldest club in the English league having won the league for two and half decades ago (1990) have been able to secure the title since then. The best they can boast of (?) ;is history of eighteen titles even though Sir Alex Ferguson has walked past that line seven years ago.

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp

However, it is believed by many that they stand a better chance this season. Looking at the quality of their squad and how Jürgen Klopp is overseeing a second year as Liverpool boss, things have really changed for the reds this season, talk about that urgency in their playing style, their consistency in winning, you can mention others. This is with regards to how the team was when Brendan Rodgers was relieved of his job mid-way into the season. Things were really below the surface of the top four when he arrived, he was able to steer them to a relatively successful season, even going as far as runners up in the Uefa Europa League – so early and maybe with players not relating to his choices.

Jürgen Klopp who according to close observations and analysis believes in aggressive football with all
round high tempo that make teams begging for a breather, as we saw in his last UEFA Champions League semi final game at Dortmund against Real Madrid. This season we have seen and we are seen that at Anfield.
Liverpool is definitely a top English team and should have a style that will definitely bother title contenders
like Manchester City, Arsenal and maybe
Tottenham. These are ball possession-orientated (call it the Barcelona style) teams who love to play out from the back with lots of space and that's exactly what Klopp is doing.

With the little been said above , Klopp and his Red Army must have at the back of their minds that the premier league is full of great challenges, no club is smaller and they would need to manage these confrontations.

Well let's see if the management does some buying and Selling in the fast approaching transfer window.

Nigeria vs Algeria - Things you should know about the two teams

The Super Eagles will be hosting of Algeria
at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium in Uyo
and will be looking to take another giant step
towards qualifying for a third World Cup on the
bounce. However, there are some important fact about both teams we should look at prior to this fixture .

Victor Moses has been terrific

Besides netting a couple of goals for his club, the super eagles winger has found great form under Antonio Conte courtesy of the Chelsea manager's 3 - 4 - 3  formation. His athletism, skills and pace have been terrific of lately and prior to the match against Algeria, the winger will be looking forward to exploiting  the Foxes defence.

Mikel John Obi has not featured for Chelsea

Nigerian captain Mikel John Obi has not featured for Chelsea since the beginning of the season. However, He has been great while on duty for his National team and having not been able to impress Antonio Conte, and with regards to comments he made about fighting for his place in the Chelsea team, the midfielder will try to display a classic performance against Algeria, let's say to prove Conte wrong.

How has Kelechi Iheanacho and  Alex Iwobi's form been?

Manchester City young striker Kelechi Iheanocho after been handed some First Team opportunities by Pep Guardiola, the Nigerian international who netted against Southampton in their last premier league match has had good games with city. Same for Alex Iwobi, the arsenal man who netted against Zambia has received lot of praises from Arsene Wenger and top football pundits for his performances in the Arsenal team . So as it stands both will be great weapons against the Algerian defense.

Algeria not strong defesively

About the Algerian team, they not been the same, mean to say defensively sincethe exit of Majid Bougherra and Rafik Halliche who have been the solid rock which the Algerian defence was built. So let's hope the super use this defensive weakness and put a smile on the face Nigerians.

Howard Webb finally admits there was interferences from the PL

This is revealed in Mr Webb’s new book, which
is being serialised by The Times in London. Webb claimed that he was “being slapped down” for defending match officials against attacks by former Chelsea and current Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.Mr Webb also implicated the Professional Games Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) and its head Mike Riley who is also a former Premier League referee.

Howard Webb claims he was called into Mr Riley’s office and told that the executive chairman of the
Premier League Richard Scudamore was angry
because he (Mr Howard Webb) was defending referees. Mr Webb left his post as technical director with the PGMOL shortly afterwards.

The suspicion now has to fall on Howard Webb

utterances to promote his book. But if true, then the question here is :

Why did they keep quiet all this time?

The Reds leading the race to sign this sensational youngster

According to reports from English media outlets
suggest that three top clubs in the English league, Chelsea , Liverpool and Manchester United are battling for the signature of Paris-saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe. The claim is effective as all the top clubs are on course to solve their defensive woes.

The high quality youngster has made a terrific
start to the new campaign in Ligue 1 side Paris-Saint-Germain, following the departure of David Luiz on deadline day.

At Stamford Bridge,Gary Cahill and Branislav Ivanovic have looked quite poor at times, with doubts over Luiz and his capabilities said to be looming around as well.

Also at Manchester United,Jose Morinho will likewise be looking forward to securing the young star's signature as he seems to be running our of options or maybe due to the poor form of his back line.

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp might also be looking forward to bring the French youngster to Anfield as it is evident Mamadou Sakho is not as before.

As the battle for the top spots in the league is already started, this will be tough battle as it obvious Liverpool are favorites.
