Antonio Conte - Is time for Mikel to go

After spending eleven seasons at Chelsea, seen managers come and go,  Mikel John Obi has
been told by Chelsea coach he can leave in January

Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte has finally made things clear about the future of Mikel John Obi. The Nigerian international who has spent eleven years at the club is yet to feature in a league match since the Italian took over from Guus Hinddink.

However, the player is believed to have engaged in talks with his Chelsea boss over playing time and complement to this fact,  Antonio Conte has cleared the air by revealing the Nigerian is no longer in his plans. Also according to reports, Nigerian national team coach Gernot Rohr met with Technical Director Mike Emenalo, who also revealed to Rohr
that Mikel is not part of Italian manager's plans.

“Talks were held between Mikel and the
manager. As for now he has been told
he can leave in January, mind you his
contract is set to expire in the summer”
a source close to the midfielder told
Owngoalnigeria.com.
“There’s every possibility for him to
leave Chelsea either on loan or
permanently in January. But the summer
looks more likely. Every story must have
an end. After 11 seasons, Mikel wants to
move on and so too Chelsea.”
