Security not a guarantee in China - Sainsbury

Jiangsu Sunning defender Trent Sainsbury who has had an excellent season in China revealed he is not certain he'll be at the club come next season.

Sainsbury who has played 30 games in all competitions for the club as well as reaching the domestic cup final in an interview spoke about life in the Chinese league.

"I have two years left after this season and
there's the security of the contract there.

"But China is a revolving door, with players
coming in and out, so we will see what
happens at the end of the year.

"I am not sure if I will be here or not beyond
this season, that's up to the club to decide.
"It's alway exciting in football ... you never
know where you are going to be next, so we
will just wait and see."

Though he's flourished in a line-up laden with
big money acquisitions like $65 million Brazilian
magician Alex Teixeira and his compatriot
Ramires, Sainsbury is all too aware of China's
reputation as one of football's most volatile
marketplaces.

"Nothing really surprises me anymore in
football," he said. "You see players doing really
well at one club and the next minute the club
wants you out the door.
