CHELSEA SQUAD NOT "BIG" ENOUGH - JAMIE REDKNAPP

Jamie Redknapp claims Antonio Conte has been lucky with his squad selection for this season campaign, as the blues are not  playing in the Champions League.

Chelsea who are currently heading the league table have enjoyed a good run of form winning seven games in a stretch and conceding once in seven matches. However, the Skysports pundit feels if the Blues boss does not strengthen his squad in January's transfer window, he will have limited choices as which players to feature, if they are to compete for the title.

Redknapp told the Daily Mail : “ Chelsea have been formidable in recent weeks but my worry for them is injuries.

“They have been very fortunate not playing in
Europe, Saturday’s victory over Tottenham was the sixth match in a row that Antonio Conte has fielded an unchanged starting eleven .

“These Chelsea players are used to playing a
Champions League campaign every season
so they will be feeling very fresh.

“Diego Costa has been so crucial to their success while wing-backs Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso have been sensational.

“Conte may feel he has enough options up front with the likes of Michy Batshuayi and Dominic Solanke but may feel the need to strengthen those areas in January.

“One or two additions will help Chelsea sustain
their title challenge.”

Chelsea came from behind to defeat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 on Saturday, courtesy of Pedro's world class strike and Victor Moses's curling shot. The blues will now face a tougher challenge as they will travel to Manchester City for their premier league clash.
