Ryad Mahrez, N'Golo Kanté and and Jamie Vardy in FIFA's Ballon d'Or shortlist

BBC sports reports that former Leicester City midfielder N'Golo Kante along side Jamie Vardy and
Riyad Mahrez have been short listed  Among the then 10 Premier League players who have been
nominated for the Best Fifa Men's Player 2016
award.

The 23-man shortlist includes Jamie Vardy, Riyad
Mahrez and N'Golo Kante, who won the title
with Leicester City.


















Other players in the list include Arsenal duo Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, Manchester City's Sergio Aguero and Kevin de Bruyne, United's Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba and West Ham's Dimitri Payet are also named.

The date for the prize to be announced is 9 January.
BBC also reports that fans will be given the chance to vote on the award after the world governing body's
association with the Ballon d'Or ended earlier
this year.
