Former Manchester United star becomes a Catholic deacon

Former Manchester United player has reportedly ordained a Catholic deacon

Mulryne has been ordained as a deacon with priest hood to follow this summer.













The player who started his Manchester United career alongside the likes of Ryan Giggs, Roy Keane and David Beckham as reported made just one premier league appearance against Burnley on the last day of 1997/1998 season. In 1999, Mulryne was sold to Norwich. There he helped the promote to the top flight after winning the division 2003/2004. Although they were still relegated the following year.









Mulryne made his international debut for
His country (Northern Ireland) at the age of nineteen winning 27 caps and also scoring 3 goals for country.

As the player finally hung his boots,  his passion changed as In 2009 he started training to be a Roman Catholic priest, enrolling in the Pontifical
Irish College in Rome.
