A 40 league points target will be better for Leicester City - Emile Heskey

Leicester City were thrashed at home 1 : 2 by west Brom. The result leaves the league champions just two points above the relegation zone.

Following this result and resent happenings at The King Power Stadium, former England and Aston Villa striker, Emile Heskey has said the club needs to go back to former prime target of last season which was to get 40 league point before they eventually became league champions.

Heskey spoke on Sky Sports :

"I think they're probably concerned now, but it's
very tight at the bottom so one win can take you
to mid-table and you look relatively okay, but
then two losses can get you sucked back in
again," he said.

"Knowing the owners and some of the backroom
staff, I know last year they were looking to get
to 40 points [first], but they kept on winning
games. Really deep down they should be looking
at the 40 points and then taking it from there."
